Socks are important. Lesson Learnt.
January 16, 2012

I literally woke up this morning thinking it was Thursday, which shows how long my Zimbabwean holiday has been, this is what it must feel like to be TOTALLY relaxed!

In other news, no thanks to our neighbours new acquisition: Peacocks! I was awake at 4:30am (on what I thought was Thursday but was actually Monday) and ready to hit the road running.
PS. I never realised when I was coming home from club but its still pretty dark at 4:30am. So I watched TV till 5am and then went. Yes, I’m giving you an exact play-by-play of my morning!

So, off I go tra-la-la-la-la, jogging like a baws to the beats of the playlist I am slowly refining, adding to, and deleting from to make what may possibly the best playlist iTunes has ever had to deal with in the their whole life.
PS. This is what joggers think about on there runs, the kind of stuff I’m blogging about…. Oh, and world domination, which I don’t really wanna make public.

Cut a long story short, I didn’t have any socks and figured that I would just run without socks, BIG MISTAKE, BIG, HUGE! You know when your 5kms away from home and you know you have 5kms to get back home and you can FEEL the blisters forming, yeah, that happened….
Lesson learnt.

However I did run 6kms in under 40mins which isn’t bad, still not great and I need to be doing longer runs and building up endurance and all that stuff but I had an operation on my neck this afternoon to remove a cyst that could have been potentially harmful (But isn’t thank goodness) and I now look like I’ve had throat surgery (my doctor went overboard with bandages) so I’m going to wait for my feet to heal and my dressings to be changed and stitches to be put in and I shall be back on the road again on Wednesday 🙂

My doctor loves the bandages
